emka TECHNOLOGIES annonces distribution agreement with Star-Oddi.

Star-Oddi produces the Data Storage Tag (DST) which is a miniature data logger. The loggers have been used in the biomedical industry for several years. A wide product range of loggers exist, to measure: temperature, depth, pressure, salinity, conductivity, tilt and magnetic field strength. Star-Oddi temperature probes are a great asset to researchers in various stages of drug developement because of their small size, high accuracy and biocompatibility.

The DST housing is made of alumina, a biocompatible ceramic material that is not recognized as a foreign body by the recieving organism when implanted. DST loggers do not affect animals‘ health in any way when implanted. The loggers can be sterilized in a gas sterilizer or e.g. 70-80% ethanol. The same logger can be reused as long as the battery last assuring dependability of the obtained measurements. All Star-Oddi probes are delivered with an individual calibration certificate, verifying temperature accuracy in each temperature calibration point.

emka TECHNOLOGIES will now be distributing Star-Oddi in the US and Canada.
