rodent eeg telemetry
we are pleased to introduce the rodentPACK: our head-mounted biopotential telemetry system for rodents. The rodentPACK transmits data via radiotelemetry, offering a well-tolerated, humane alternative to tethered eeg. Direct inputs from the device to cortical and deep brain regions provide a high signal-to-noise ratio, facilitating the detection of eeg events. Because the body of the rodentPACK is externally mounted, it features a replaceable battery, providing the capability for lifetime monitoring of the animal. Each rodentPACK provides two eeg inputs, emg, ecg, and 3-axis acceleration. Further, these biopotential inputs can be externalized in a jacketed noninvasive telemetry system for rodents. The rodentPACK is compatible with emka TECHNOLOGIES’ software, or any third-party system.
CNS software
emka TECHNOLOGIES’ software is ideal for CNS studies. The software allows the scientist to easily differentiate between the four sleep stages, calculate global sleep scores, and produce FFT power spectrums. Optional video for confirmation of sleep score and classification of seizure types is also available.
neurobehavioral observations
let emka TECHNOLOGIES’ integrated video capabilities facilitate behavioral observations without the confounding effects of investigator interaction. Our secured video data is embedded in our data files and can be linked with other physiological signals, allowing the scientist to click on a change in a physiological parameter and observe the associated behavior. The system features adjustable image resolution, and infrared recording for nighttime observations.
food intake monitoring
food intake is an important endpoint in safety and toxicology studies. Our software can acquire and process data simultaneously from up to 32 rodent cages. The system features investigator-defined measurement periods and automated results tables and trend graphs for each animal.

we provide whole-body unrestrained, head-out, double-chamber and resistance/compliance models for assessment of ventilatory parameters, with the unique capability to integrate systems for resistance/compliance measurements in conscious small animals. Telemetry Research implantable telemetry provides the capability to integrate blood pressure and biopotential endpoints into rodent pulmonary studies. For large animals including dogs, primates and minipigs, let emka TECHNOLOGIES provide custom plethysmography solutions such as helmets and head-out chambers. Non-invasive telemetry is ideal for combining large animal pulmonary and cardiovascular endpoints in a single system. The emkaBELT system provides a non-invasive method to monitor respiration in ambulatory large animals, with the ability to concurrently measure multi-lead ECG, blood pressure, temperature, and activity.

cardiovascular system - innovative implantable telemetry, intelligent ecg analysis, and comprehensive hemodynamic evaluations in-vivo or in-vitro
our emkaPACK non-invasive telemetry system measures up to 7 leads of ECG, thoracic and abdominal respiration, and blood pressure with the first non-invasive tail cuff system for blood pressure measurement in ambulatory animals. The system will allow measurements of up to 72 hours continuously without cross-talk, and the ability to group house if needed.

ecgAUTO v2 software provides high-throughput analysis of ECG, hemodynamic, respiratory, and other waveform data using a field-proven shape recognition algorithm. Add-on modules provide embedded video data, advanced hrv analysis, baroreflex sensitivity analysis and EEG/sleep scoring.
